Subtle Fashion Photo Retouch

Hi Photoshop People! Today we're going to make an easy, quick and Subtle Fashion Photo Retouch, enjoy it!

Step 1:

Choose a photo, the size, or quality doesn't matter.

Step 2:

Make a new layer ( CTRL + SHIFT + N) call it back, grab your brush tool and select black as your foreground.

Step 3:

Fill all the background like this, be very carefully to not fill your character clothes/hair/skin.

Now go to your back's layer blending mode, choose Hue

It will look like this:

Step 4:

Now select your burn tool, and make some shadows in the face and body , remember to change your range and exposure, the values will change depending on the color and light of your photo.

Try to make something like this:

Now make some highlights with the dodge tool (make right click in the burn tool and a menu will show up, then choose the dodge tool)

This is what we've done with the highlights and shadows:

Step 5:

Press CTRL + SHIFT + E (to merge the layers) and now make right click to the "background layer" (once you already merge it all appears in the background layer) and choose the DUPLICATE layer option.

Step 6:

Go to Filter - Render - Lighting effects.

Put the settings like this:

It will look like this, but don't freak out! We're going to fix it!

Now, in your duplicated layer, choose the eraser tool , and erase all the character in the photo, just leave the background with the lights, like this:

Ok, its done now you can play a little with the curves: CTRL + M (or go to image - adjustments - curves) and have with your new Subtle Fashion Photo Retouch!
